La Vie En Rose – AW15

This collection reflects Nisha’s recent travels to the historic
district of Paris,Montmartre.

Nisha Sainani is drawn to the golden era of Montmartre where the
impressionist artists developed art form interpreted with a modern
vibe, which also houses the Moulin Rouge while the spirit of this line
breathes that fresh Parisian air.

Nisha’s inspiration comes alive in the collection beautifully, as seen
through her clever use of motifs in cut work, antique thread work and
beadwork on dreamy silhouettes; whether it’s the lamp posts that are
characteristic of a typical Montmartre neighbourhood or the gates and
windmills that are a part of the whimsical view of Paris from the

La Vie En Rose exudes romance by playing with dreamy silhouettes and
Neo-Victorian inspirations using net, silks and organza in shades of
powder blue, blush pinks, nudes and moving towards a jewel toned
colour palette of bottle greens and mid night blues. The major focus
for this collection has been applique and cutwork applied through an
interesting use of these techniques in the construction of the
garments, and ofcourse through prints which have been her forte.

Talking about her collection Nisha Sainani highlights, “I have always
believed as a designer, that each piece has a story to tell and that’s
what connects me with my muses. I have designed this collection for a
woman who is modern yet loves her vintage cuts. This time I wanted to
express my intense inspiration that I experienced during my visit to
Montmartre, and reflect that in a way that it immediately takes your
senses to the city or its vibe while browsing through the collection.
